Lighting for the Clubhouse Flag and Signs

The Electrical Maintenance Committee would like to report success in restoring dusk to dawn lighting of our flag and both Summer Creek signs!

After much consternation, the ceiling sensor was replaced and appropriate lighting was restored.

Thanks to all who participated: Jerry Kuchta, Steve Fisher, Paul Roger, Ken Ennor, Jane Roger, and John Russell.

Special thanks to Bob Sarasin for bringing this unfortunate oversight to everyone’s attention! We should always keep the flag lit.

Oops… Careful Now…

The Board and Redmond Fire and Rescue would would like to remind everyone that smoking  should not be done while in bed but instead in a well ventilated place with proper ashtrays and to make sure that you have working smoke detectors in all the rooms in the house. Redmond Firefighters responded to a house fire at Summer Creek with one person in a wheelchair inside unable to evacuate. On arrival firefighters found and quickly extinguished a smoldering and smoky mattress in a back bedroom. While no one was injured, and the fire did not extend beyond the mattress, there was smoke damage. The elderly occupant in a wheel chair was protected by firefighters and sheltered in an unaffected bedroom in another part of the house. Firefighters used positive pressure fans to ventilate smoke out of the house.
